Annapurna Base Camp Trekking - 10 to 18 days

Annapurna Base Camp TrekkingAnnapurna Base Camp Trekking is one of the most preferred trekking destinations for all the trekkers who come here for trekking in Nepal. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is a combination of easy walking trails, majestic scenery including the ones of the Himalayan mountains and also the aspect of knowing the cultural side of the Ananpurna region and the people who live there. All these factors make Annapurna Base Camp (4130m) Trek, also commonly known as theAnnapurna Sanctuary Trek, as one of the most popular treks in Nepal. The trekkers can enjoy the views of the mountains of the Annapurna range, bamboo, deep rhododendron forests, rivers, water-falls and a mix of unparallel cultures as they venture deep into the Annapurna Mountain and its adjoining areas.
The villages of Ghorepani and Poon Hill are the two most popular and scenic villages during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek as the two villages are some of the best spots for viewing sunrise and sunset and also for viewing the panoramic sights of the Himalayan Mountains. It provides the spectacular views of the whole western Himalayas, along with natural scenes of glaciers, gorges, local villages and the lifestyle and culture of the people who live there, creating unforgettable images on your mind. Our Annapurna Base Camp trekking includes heavenly place Pokhara, terraced hillsides, attractive rhododendron, oak trees to Ghandruk, the picturescue village of Gurungs. On the starting day, normally planned for Ghorepani, a short climb up to Poon Hill is worth doing to get a sweeping view of the entire western Himalaya, including the giant Dhaulagiri.
Annapurna Base Camp Trekking begins from the beautiful lake city of Pokhara. The trek leads the trekkers to the foot of Annapurna, its Base Camp, which lies at an altitude of 4210 meters. The trail encompasses several traditional villages inhabited by many ethnic Nepal tribe including Gurung, Magar, and Thakali. The humble nature and the hospitality of the locals of the region is another thing that warms your heart in that chilly ambience. The best possible time for Annapurna Trek is during September and November and during March and May. Trekking during the monsoon season i.e. between the periods of June to August is not advisable as it is quite risky as the snow is slippery due to rain.
