Phewa Lake
Begnas and Rupa Lake
Begnas and Rupa Lakes are situated 15 km east of Pokhara beside the Prithivi Highway. These lakes are separated by the hillock called "Panchabhaiya". These lakes offer the finest opportunity for canoeing, sun-bathing, bird watching and angling. The lakes offer the perfect nature retreat because of their relative's seclusion and opportunity for fishing.
Seti River Gorges:
Flowing the right to the city, the boisterous river runs underground at places. The George carved by Seti-Gandaki River is the amazing natural gift for tourist. It is seeing worthy from the Mahendra pool, small bridge near the old mission hospital, Prithvi Highway Bridge and K.I Singh Bridge. It provides a perfect view of the river's dreadful rush and the deep George made by the turbulent flow of white water.
David's fall
Devi's fall is locally known as Patale Chhango (Hell's fall) which is 2 km. south west of Pokhara air port on the Siddhartha Highway. It is the place when the river flowing from Phewa Lake collapses and surges down the rock into the deep gage, leaping through several potholes.
Mahendra cave
Mahendra cave is locally known as Chamero Odhaar (Bats' cave). It was said to have found in 1950. You can see the stalagmites and stalactites with torch-light. It is the magic limestone cave.
Mountain Museums
These museums are conserved by the Annapurna Conservation Area project (ACAP). One of the museum shows the history and lifestyles of Thakalis, Gurungs and Tharu where as another exposes the natural history.
Mountain views
Besides other strange, Pokhara is the best place to have the panoramic views of the Annapurna massifs stretching from east to west. Annapurna I, II, III, IV can be viewed clearly. Standing tall, proud and dominating the skyline Machhapuchhre, the fish tailed pinnacle is the classic snow capped mountain.

Bindhyabasini Temple is one of the major religious sites in the centre of the old bazaar. It is dedicated to Goddess Bhagawati. This is crowded on Tuesday and Saturday for the animal's sacrifices. It is one of the picnic spot too. It is located 4 km from Lakeside
World peace Stupa
World peace stupa is the central spot from where the spectacular views of mountains such as Annapurnna range and even Pokhara city. It has four images of Buddha facing four directions situated on the top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. It impressive sight of its pagoda
Gupteshwor Cave
Gupteshwar cave is situated 2 km south and west of Pokhara airport and its entrance is right from Devis fall. The cave is near about 7 km long and one has to depend on all fours to see to see it. The cave holds special value for Hindu since a phallic symbol of lord Shiva is preserved here in the condition was discovered. Taking photograph is prohibited here.

Gorakhnath Cave
Gorakhnath cave is an important religious site for local people which is positioned to the south of Gorkha palace, ten meter's below, it is the sacred cave of Gorakhanath Baba (sage) …… The care is carved out of the solid rock. Gorkha is an alternate starting point for a few trekking routes in Nepal. Gorkha-Trishuli is an easy three days walk and provides unspoiled sceneries along the way.
Upallokot
It is situated at a 20 minutes walking distance from Gorkha palace. There is a viewing platform at an altitude of 1520 meter in Upallokot from where the spectacular view of Gorkha palace and the sliver shining snow -field can be viewed beautifully.
Lumbini: (Birth place of Lord Budda/light of Asia)
Lumbini, the birth place of Lord Gautam Buddha, lies in 21 km. west of Bhairahawa and 265 km southwest of Kathmandu. Lumbini is the central pilgrimage for all people who seek peace of any religious faith and heart for all Buddhists through out the world. The birth place of Lord Buddha (light of Asia), the apostle of peace compassion and non-violence, Lumbini is the source of knowledge where thousands of Buddhists monks, nuns and devotees visit every year. By the childhood name Siddharth Gautam, the prince of Tilaurakot palace, abandoned his mundane life and sank in penance that spread the peace through out the world. The Sacred Garden
In Lumbini there is sacred Garden where the temple of Maya Devi with her holy image is preserved. Maya Devi, the Great mother of Lord Buddha said to have given birth to Lord Buddha here in 525 B.C. She was the Queen of King Suddhodan. Enshrined in a small style, the image shows and mother of Crown prince Siddhartha Gautam. She is seen herself by holding on with her right hand to a branch of Sal tree, with newly born infant Buddha standing upright on a lotus pedestal on an oval halo. Two other celestical figures are depicted in an act of pouring holy water a lotus bestowed from heaven
The Ashoka Pillar
Shakya Tank and Buddhist monasteries
There is Shakya Tank when Maya Devi, the mother of Lord Buddha is said to have taken bath before giving birth to Lord Buddha and where infant Buddha was given his first purification. The central, important place of Lumbini and to the entire Buddhist world for that matter is the stone slab located deep in the Sanctum Sancorum. Around, this holy site, there are remnants of Monasteries and Chaityas built over the centuries following Buddha's birth.
Besides these, Kapilvastu, capital city of the birth place of Lord Buddha where Tilaurakot palace situated is as much as important which has old potleries and goods preserved; Lumbini Development Foundation has been keeping an eye for the preservation and promotion of Lumbini. Lumbini listed in world Heritage List.
Baraha Chhetra
This region is located 20 km away from a town in eastern Nepal-Dharan. It is among four great religious places of Hindus. Baraha Chhetra is one of the famous temple nestled nearby Sunkoshi and Koka rivers. In this temple, an incarnation of lord Vishnu is said to have killed the demon Hirankshya. Apart from main shrine dedicated to Baraha, there are many other temples with images of the Baraha (incarnated vishnu) in Baraha-chhetra. Every year on the first Magh (November), a religious fare takes place here.

Janaki Temple
Janaki temple, the ancient and popular temple for Hindus lies to the eastern part of Nepal in the town of Janakpur. The oldest and most popular city in Nepal, Janakpur is a city of dozens of holy pools, with a number of ancient sites. The really famous object for adoration in Janakpur, is Janaki Temple which is compared with the Taj Mahal of India. This temple has occupied 4860sq feet in a mixed style. Islamic and Rajput, Domes the temple is 50m high, a three stored structure made entirely of stone and marble. All its 60 rooms are decorated with colored glass, engravings and paintings with beautiful lattice windows and turrets. It took number of years to evolve into its present shape since 1895 and completed in 1911. Thousands of visitor and pilgrims visit this temple during November. December for Vivah Panchami (marriage over 5 days), the town's major annual festival, when the marriage of Sita and Ram is celebrated with various re-enactments, popular time for modern day weddings. It is said to have been a great centre of learning for scholars in ancient times, Janakpur once had hundred of sages who contributed to Hindu philosophy, with one of their oldest works being the famous Upanishad Brihadarandyaka written in the form of a dialogue which deals with the gods, the nature of Brahma, the supreme reality and the introduction to the self. Janakpur is inhabited by Maithis who have own script, language, tradition and culture. The religious Mithila art is well known in the local and international art world.
Tansen:
Tansen is headquarter of Palpa. It is located in Nepal's central hills, at an altitude of 1,372 m above the sea level. It is a bright Himalayan town situated on the slopes of a hill called Shreenagar Danda. It is the most popular summer resort in western Nepal from where you have panoramic views of Nepal's chief attractive Himalayan from Dhaulagiri in the west to Gaurishankar in the northese. Moreover, you can have the view of sweeping Tinau river valley and surrounding Mahabharat hills including Terai's flat.

Antu Danda
Antu Danda is situated at an altitude of 1,677m. in Ilam district of eastern Nepal and famous for its unique views of Kanchanjunga and Mt. Everest It is the best vantage point for viewing sunrise and sunset. A memorable graveled road is only upto Chhipetar and from here, 4 to 5 hours walk is needed to reach Antu Danda. From here, the hills of Darjeeling Kurseong and Mink can be seen. One can reach here by surface or by air to Biratnagar via Kathmandu, and drive to be there. Minimums 2 to 3 nights are required to visit the place with camping equipment.
