It has rich biodiversity due to the availability of various habitats like wetlands, lakes tropical and sub tropical forest, coniferous and Himalayan habitats which are heaven for bird's species. So, Nepal has more than 850 species of birds (10% of the world's total bird's species) including Spiny Babbler (Kande Bhyakur), the species of bird only found in Nepal. The National Bird is Danphe (Impeyan Pheasant).
Bird Watching is one of the acivity things to experience in Nepal because of its abundant availability of species of birds. Due to the variety of trees, this gift has been maintained. Even around Kathmandu valley, you can watch birds in Nagarjun, Godavari, Phulchoki hills and Tauda Lake on the way to Dakshinkali Temple. The various National parks as Chitwan National Park, Bardiya National Park, Sagarmatha National Park, Shivapuri National park and other wildlife reserves, Bardiya National Park. Chitwan National park and Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve are best destinations for bird's watching. Koshi Tappu Wildlife, Reserve has better sightings of an incredible variety of both resident and migratory birds that come from as far away as Siberia. You can overwhelm. Yourself by having bird watching and memorize it forever.
